#457
722nd Squadron

42-7760

Jim Champagne flew over to Manduria in December 1943 in this aircraft.
To the best of his recognition, this plane did not have a name or any nose art because the pilot could not agree on any of the names that the crew suggested.
42-7760 crashed on its nose upon landing after the 02/22/44 mission, the planes 12th mission according to Jim.
He was told that the plane then went to the junk yard for parts.
