Sgt. Joseph P. Iannucelli
722nd Squadron

Joseph was born on May 21, 1925 in the Bronx, NY. He graduated From Howard Taft High School in the Bronx.
He died on July 3,1944 in the service of his country and received the Purple Heart and the Flying Cross.
He is interred in the United States Military Cemetery Neuville-en-Condroz, Belgium.
According to my father who visited the grave Uncle Joe's cemetery plot was adopted by a member of the local Belgium town. Fresh flowers are placed on his grave by the member of the town out of respect for the sacrifice of the American soldiers.
