At the Tucson reunion in October there was discussion of a possible group trip to Manduria and the museum dedication in April or May of this year. Comments My uncle served with the Cottontails and was shot down over Weiner Neustadt in May, 1944. He finished out the war in a German POW camp. I have always be in awe of the men of the world War II generation and especially those who served in the heavy bombers in Europe.

Comments Signed in on the old "Cottontails" site and didn't know if it would carry over to this one. Really appreciate your efforts in picking up the baton passed on to you. Flew as a co-pilot with the John Paul Jones, Jr. crew then with the Roger A. Kent crew. 450BG, 723SQ. Completed 23 missions, then was grounded after our third crash. Incidentally, there are no records of the last two crashes; one at Capodocino, Italy and the other on the Island of Vis, of the Dalmatian Coast. (summer-fall of '44).If any of you stalwarts have any information on either of these two mishaps, I'd appreciate very much your efforts to pass it along. Comments WOW! Great page! All I can say is Im proud to have been a part of the 450th. Its been some time since Ive visited the webpage. Its good to see that you all have continued to refine and mold what was started on a lark and turned it into an entity all of its own. All of you have done the group proud. I especially like the way that the veterans of the 450th are responding. I hope that the Tails are taking their information so future generations can know of their great sacrifices. It is good to see some old handles out there still formin up. :) If your a veteran of the actual 450th, please e-mail Samart..his grandfather was a member of the 450th as well.
