Great site. FYI, I'm building a B-24D model and I'm using your target photos of Ploesti as a reference to create a diorama. I'll send some photos of it when it's done. If anyone has any pre-strike photo's of the oil refinery, I'd like to hear from you.

A wonderful site. My wife had an uncle, Sgt. Wallace A. Galloway, 723 Sqdn. that she never knew and would like to know if anyone out there might have any info on him. We know now that he was listed as missing on 31 Mar. 45 and his name is posted on the wall of the missing at a cemetary in Italy. We do NOT know who he flew with or on what plane or any details of his death. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated by the Galloway family.

My father Leslie G. Running was in the 723rd, 450th and I would love to hear from anyone who might have served with him. He started out as a bomb loader and worked with ordinance his whole time in the 723rd.

Searching for more information on my late grandfather's, Warren Follett, 722nd squadron. He was Co-Pilot and shot down and taken prisoner with the rest of his crew. His squadron's picture is on this site, but my grandfather is actually the second from left, front row. He was a hero to all of us and greatly missed.

Dear friends, I recently left a message that has since given me additional information. The man in the photo you have posted is ALIVE and kicking. He is my COUSIN and not my dad! It turns out that they have exactly the same names. So I will continue my serch with the ARMY infantry sites. Blessings to all. Thanks for the jump start on my quest, and the reunion it provided with a cousin I hardly knew. Bye Bye!

I was looking for mementos or stories about my late father Salvatore Torregrossa of Rhode Island. Is there anyone out there who might remember him? I plan to peruse the site to get a better understanding of his years of service.

Anyone in touch with Stuart A. Karmann? Came across some military paper of my father, who was a bombardier with the 456th, and he mentions Stuart a couple of times. I'd appreciate any info you may have on him.
