Thank you for a great web site!! I could not get the e-mail portion of the site to not send back my e-mail letters. My father was a member of the last crew to fly the Tony Gayle. In fact, Rolland G. Pearce was the ball turret gunner and the last crew member to leave the ship before she crashed. My dad then became a POW. He just recently died, December 23, 1998. I would like to submit photos or any other information or receive information back from others that may have known my dad. Thanks again for having a great web page. Tammie

Decided to check and see if I could find out any thing about this Grp. after reading the book,"Liberator Pilot" by Vincent Fagan.It's interesting to read about the 15th AF Liberator Grps. My father was radio operator on a B-24 in the 492nd Grp.(1st org.) out of N. Pickenham, England,April 44-August 44. He made 30 missions,and lived through it.Just as he finished his tour the 492nd was disbanded bbecause they had lost about 57 B-24s in 88 days.If you have an assoc.or anything please let me know.By the way I have two horsehide A-2 jackets(repros) one is painted to represent my Dad's plane in the 8th AF anf the other one is painted up etc as a 15th AF, 450th BG jacket.Thought they had a nice group patch,etc. My dad's outfit didn't have any group patches, guess they weren't around long enough to design one. My uncle was 1st Lt. Carl G. Bentzlin. I believe he was in the 721st squardron of the 450th. He was a navigatorHis plan was shot down on March 22, 1945. The pilots name was Ray Fuller. Ray and three others survived. I would like to hear from anyone who knew my Uncle. Thank you. Roger.

I love your site. My grandfather was a 450th pilot. His name was harry rothman, he was not listed on your roster page, but 2 of his crew were,(jack shuman, and george anson). The name of their plane was the "Ramp Rats", I would love to find out any information I could about it. Thanks holly

Am searching for crewmembers of a/c #41-28604 that were shot down by flak near the Yugoslav border on 22 February 1944. They belly-landed in the snow near the town of Csaktornya in Hungary. All became POWs, but not before they were tended/administered to by a representative for the Geneva Convention. Thus, my efforts are in his behalf. Names that have surfaced are; William E. Reno, Pilot Harold J. Houghton, Copilot Louis H. Prentice, Navigator Jack M. Montgomery, Bombardier Harry Erickson, Gunner Arnold W. Miller, ROG Roger W. Goodson, Gunner Arthur H. This is a great web site. My Grandfather-2Lt. Lex H. Blankenship II was a B-24 Navigator and was in the 450BG in Manduria. He was killed on May 31 1944, when he bailed out of the plane. I am glad I found this web page with information on the 450BG. If anyone new my grandfather let me know. Thanks!

Very interesting we enjoyed browsing through your sight. We were interested in a particular crew of the 450th 722nd 15aaf and did not have very good results.
