Comments First I am glad you took up the sight and really enjoy it. My uncle Keith Wieland was with the 450th and served as a tail gunner on the Pistol Packin Mama. He was wounded over Austria in Feb. 1945 and sent home after 47 missions. He served with 2nd Lt. Victor A. Bahr, Edward Haworth, James Sheehan, George Spuda, Fred Sherril, Nicholas Mandella, Herbert Britt and Frank Clark. I'm not sure what Squadron he was with but I believe he was with the 723rd. A patch of his has a rabbit standing on a bomb being droped. If any one can tell me what Squadron he was with would really be appreciated, and if you have a picture of the Pistol Packin Mama that he served aboard I'd really like to see it and so would his sisters. I served in the US Army for 11 years, and in combat, before being injured, so I know what a #$@%! of a job these men did for us. I was serving when Keith passed away so I was never able to talk with him as much as I wanted too. Any info any one can give me would really help as I do #$@%! my family history. Once again I salute a
