Leaky Tub

Leaky Tub

Leaky Tub

I am still looking for pictures of the Leaky Tub, 723 Squadron Serial # 4129226.

Recently I was contacted by a man who just happens to be the nephew of the Co-Pilot Glen Davis

He said as soon as he goes through all the documents and pictures, he would send me some.

In the meantime, I wanted to share something with you'all and the site.

Based on all the information that I did get from the 450thBG site...I built a 1/48th scale model
of the Leaky Tub to honor my uncle 2nd Lt George Strong and the men who flew her.

I just painstakingly finished it last week and have attached a few photos.
I tried to make it look as authentic as possible with all BG markings.
2 photos are of the finished model , the other photo "Formation1" I have dubbed "Leaky Tub Flies Again" because I did some trick photography
and placed it in a photo of a 450th formation that I got from your site.

Whats ironic is...the model was manufactured by Revell in.... guess where?......of all places.....Germany.
