His aircraft was named "Multo Buono". He flew 52 missions over Ploesti, Rumania; Athens, Greece; Munich, Germany; D Day invasion.
He earned the Air Medal with three Oak Leave Clusters, and also served in the Arno Campaign and the Balkan Campaign.
