Sgt. Charles B. Pearson
721st Squadron

Crew List

The crew was shot down on 25 February 1945 on a mission to Linz, Austria.
The plane left southern Italy on February 25, 1945 for Austria.
Enroute they caught heavy flak. Sgt. Kenneth O. Dean of Tulsa, Oklahoma was in the nose turret. He was killed instantly.
Two other crew members were killed at the same time.
The remaining crew continued on their mission, dropped their ordinance and was
returning to Italy when their plane became inoperable.
The surviving crew members parachuted to the ground and were captured.
