Vipiteno Rail Bridge

Vipiteno R/R Bridge

Vipiteno was on the Brenner Pass rail line.
Bombs hit the railway bridge as it passed over a canal (under the smoke).
Mountains go up around 10,000ft. thus the gunners had only 15,000ft. to shoot to us.
Flak very accurate.
Bombing made this rail line inoperative the last 75 days of the war.
