Lewis F. Shackleford
720th Squadron


Lewis F Shackleford, 720th Squadron, arrived in Manduria on March 20, 1944 and departed on September 20, 1944.
He flew 50 missions: Roma-Arno, Southern France, Air Combat - Balkans, Air Offensive Europe, Normandy.
After returning to the United States he attended Central Instructors School, Smyrna, Tennessee.
He was discharged on August 1, 1945 from Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
